Literature Text
I got high and found you on my mind
Resting in my lap, talking about the weather
It wasn’t stormy or even blue
Just a day when the sky couldn’t settle its mood

I Found It.
A breeze washed over
the shivering hills
allowing them to rise and
fall
like a mothers gentle hush
Quieting the sun-rays
to curl within the drops of dew
and nestle atop the trees
catching flight
upon a beating butterfly
and dispersing amongst
spinning auburn creeks.
the wind gently tugged
at a mass of wild hair
Strays unraveling
as invisible
fingertips
danced through the
songbirds lullaby.
Fingers lost in buttercups
and eyes merely resting
where the sky meets the earth
laughing in colorful shades
and spinning
in the watery sunset.
I have found happiness.

I Take It Slow
This feeling of life passing me is back
Makes me feel like I'm on the wrong track.
Everyone has a life they are living
Makes me think: is it worth all the giving?
Am I the one who has to fade away?
Giving myself is a price I must pay.
Destined to be a living sacrifice
Wandering between the naughty and the nice.
No big moment stands out from the past year
Neither moments of joy, anger or fear.
Rather the moments that I think are sweet
Feeling the sea sand covering my feet.
Others rush their lives, but I take it slow
Making memories, leaving a warm glow.
I don't follow the footsteps of a fail
Instead I make my own and leave a tra

i only asked for the end of the world
"i found shadows in the sun again,"
i looked at her
with a gleam of sarcasm in my eyes,
as she looked down with wind in her hair.
the night looked lovely on her.
the purple of post-nebula progression
it made her eyes look electric blue
though they were a soft green.
"i said, i found shadows on the sun again."
she'd never look up unless
she couldn't breathe and needed
to pull a sigh out of her butterfly winged lungs.
and that bothered me;
- she'd refuse to breathe
only because the air seemed
un-enough.
she'd give up so easily sometimes.
i run out of pretty things to say
